Green Educational Fund

The Green Education Fund (GEF) was established in 2017 at the Slovak Environmental Agency (SEA) based on the decision of the Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic to issue an amendment to the new wording of the founding document of SEA and to issue an amendment to the new wording of the SEA statute. For the first three years, the ZVF was financed through donor funds, and since 2022 it has been financially supported by the Environmental Fund. 

The purpose of the GEF is to support environmental education and awareness in the territory of the Slovak Republic by enforcing the principles of joint responsibility in accordance with the measures of the Departmental Concept of Environmental Education, Education and Awareness until 2025 and within the Strategy of the Environmental Policy of the Slovak Republic until 2030 and others.
